La Bergerie

Location 

La Bergerie is situated between the two historical market towns of Melle and Chef Boutonne in the Heart of the Poitou Charente.  On a wider scale, we are within 40 Minutes of the beautiful city of Niort and within an hour of the historical cities of Poitiers and Angouleme.  Slightly further a field you can find the pituresque coastal resort of La Rochelle and the famous cities of Saintes and Congac.

From Poitiers

Leave the N10 at the junction with the D948 towards Sauze Vaussais and Melle. After approximately 18km and approximately 2 minutes after you have passed the television mast at Maisonnay, turn left onto the D737 towards Chef Boutonne.  Follow this road for approximately 6km before turning right onto the D111 to Sompt, Tillou and Lusseray (you will see varios other signs for Sompt, but keep going until you reach the main junction into the village).  As soon as you enter the village of Sompt, turn left up the hill following the road to the right at the top of the hill, La Bergerie can be found in 500m at your next right hand turn.

From Niort

Follow the D948 towards Melle and Limoges.  Continue past the town of Melle still following the signs for Limoges. After a further 4km take a right hand turn onto D737 towards Chef Boutonne.  Follow this road for approximately 6km before turning right onto the D111 to Sompt, Tillou and Lusseray(you will see varios other signs for Sompt, but keep going until you reach the main junction into the village) .  As soon as you enter the village of Sompt, turn left up the hill following the road to the right at the top of the hill, La Bergerie can be found in 200m at your next right hand turn.
